Flowers become fruits: For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. After fertilization, a flower develops into a fruit containing the seed(s).
Shapely flower:The Veronica flower has dainty curvy flower tips much like its cousin the Snap Dragon. Flowers for food: Sunflower buds taste similar to artichokes but taste bittersweet after the flower opens.
