Beginning the rose garden: Early spring is the best time to put out roses grown in nursery containers and late winter is the best time to plant bare-root roses.
Watering roses:Instead of watering your roses just a little bit at a time it is best to water them deeply so that the water can most effectively penetrate the roots. Sending flowers out-of-town: Most florist shops are members of national wire services and/or know florists in other towns. Your flower order can be taken by your local florist, who will then contact a florist for you in another town and place your order.
