Planting roses: To plant roses which have been obtained from a nursery first water the rose, and then remove it from the pot. If the rose is in a paper pot cut off the bottom and remove the sidewalls so that the fine, new white feeder roots of the growing plant might be preserved.
Sunlight for roses:A minimum of 6 hours of sunlight per day will be plenty to make roses grow well. Symbol of procreation: The lily is regarded as a fertility symbol in both the Christian and pagan traditions.
