Noble flowers: The four noble plants of the ancient Chinese were the Chrysanthemum, the Orchid, the bamboo, and the plum, and therefore only the upper class Chinese were permitted to grow them in their gardens.
Flowers for food:Sunflower buds taste similar to artichokes but taste bittersweet after the flower opens.
