Flowers become fruits: For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. After fertilization, a flower develops into a fruit containing the seed(s).
Meanings of rose colors:In Victorian times flowers had assigned meanings, but even then there was much discrepancy. Today there are so many flowers and colors that this tradition no longer applies. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, but this is not a universal rule by any means. Scorpion repellent: It was thought by some Ancients that they could drive away scorpions by using a strong external concoction made of Delphinium flowers.
