Old and Modern Roses: Roses which existed prior to 1867 are known as Old Roses. Roses developed from 1867 to present are usually referred to as Modern Roses.
Disadvantage of rose hybrids:Typically new colorful varieties of roses which have been created by hybridization are weaker against diseases. Vitamins in flowers: Rose hips may contain anywhere from 2,275 to 6,977 mgs. of vitamin C per 100 grams of pulp which is much greater than the 49 mgs of vitamin C per 100 grams of pulp from oranges.
