Old and Modern Roses: Roses which existed prior to 1867 are known as Old Roses. Roses developed from 1867 to present are usually referred to as Modern Roses.
Watering roses:Instead of watering your roses just a little bit at a time it is best to water them deeply so that the water can most effectively penetrate the roots. Amount of water for roses: When roses have just been planted they should be watered daily to prevent wilting. If they have been growing in one spot for some time then they should be watered deeply once a week with one-inch or more of water.
