Innocence dance: Young men and women in early Athens would put on a crown of roses during feasts and then to symbolize the innocence of the Golden Age they would dance naked around the temple of Hymen.
Medicinal poinsettia:During the middle ages people used the poinsettia flower as a purgative to aid in the elimination of black bile and melancholy. Friends in the rose garden: Roses like to have other companion plants such as garlic, onions, marigolds, mignonettes, and thyme in the garden with them.
