Weeds for lunch: Dandelions are a member of the Daisy family. The young flowers have a sweet, honey-like flavor. The full grown ones are bitter.
Named for fighters:Gladiolus flowers got their name because the leaves of the plant were shaped like a sword and made them think of the Roman gladiators. Shapely flower: The Veronica flower has dainty curvy flower tips much like its cousin the Snap Dragon.
