Planting roses: To plant roses which have been obtained from a nursery first water the rose, and then remove it from the pot. If the rose is in a paper pot cut off the bottom and remove the sidewalls so that the fine, new white feeder roots of the growing plant might be preserved.
Innocence dance:Young men and women in early Athens would put on a crown of roses during feasts and then to symbolize the innocence of the Golden Age they would dance naked around the temple of Hymen. Amount of water for roses: When roses have just been planted they should be watered daily to prevent wilting. If they have been growing in one spot for some time then they should be watered deeply once a week with one-inch or more of water.
