Old and Modern Roses: Roses which existed prior to 1867 are known as Old Roses. Roses developed from 1867 to present are usually referred to as Modern Roses.
Flowers for ink:To make blue ink some European settlers used ground Delphinium flowers. Sacred flower: The flowers heads of the Calendula were used to adorn holy statues in ancient India and it is their most sacred flower.
