Superstition and the Aster: The most popular of the 600 different species of the Aster is the Monte Carlo. People long ago thought they could drive away serpents with the odor it produced when they burned it.
Flowers for ink:To make blue ink some European settlers used ground Delphinium flowers. Weeds for lunch: Dandelions are a member of the Daisy family. The young flowers have a sweet, honey-like flavor. The full grown ones are bitter.
