Keep flowers away from sun and drafts: It is not a good idea to put your arrangement in the sun after receiving it. Growing flowers require sunshine for maturation, but cut flowers will fade much faster if exposed to heat and direct sunlight. To keep flowers fresh longer, place them in a location away from sun and drafts.
Flowers become fruits:For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape. After fertilization, a flower develops into a fruit containing the seed(s). Flowers for food: Sunflower buds taste similar to artichokes but taste bittersweet after the flower opens.
