Some roses are stronger: Some types of roses are better than others at being able to resist damage due to disease or insects.

Amount of water for roses: When roses have just been planted they should be watered daily to prevent wilting. If they have been growing in one spot for some time then they should be watered deeply once a week with one-inch or more of water.
