Planting roses: To plant roses which have been obtained from a nursery first water the rose, and then remove it from the pot. If the rose is in a paper pot cut off the bottom and remove the sidewalls so that the fine, new white feeder roots of the growing plant might be preserved.
Best time for watering roses:It is best to water roses either early in the morning or late in the afternoon instead of in the middle of the day. Friends in the rose garden: Roses like to have other companion plants such as garlic, onions, marigolds, mignonettes, and thyme in the garden with them.
