Superstition and the Aster: The most popular of the 600 different species of the Aster is the Monte Carlo. People long ago thought they could drive away serpents with the odor it produced when they burned it.
Meanings of rose colors:In Victorian times flowers had assigned meanings, but even then there was much discrepancy. Today there are so many flowers and colors that this tradition no longer applies. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, but this is not a universal rule by any means. Sunlight for roses: A minimum of 6 hours of sunlight per day will be plenty to make roses grow well.
