Old and Modern Roses: Roses which existed prior to 1867 are known as Old Roses. Roses developed from 1867 to present are usually referred to as Modern Roses.
Meanings of rose colors:In Victorian times flowers had assigned meanings, but even then there was much discrepancy. Today there are so many flowers and colors that this tradition no longer applies. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, but this is not a universal rule by any means. Flower snacks: Some roses have flavors which are much like that of strawberries and green apples.
