Planting roses: To plant roses which have been obtained from a nursery first water the rose, and then remove it from the pot. If the rose is in a paper pot cut off the bottom and remove the sidewalls so that the fine, new white feeder roots of the growing plant might be preserved.
Relatives of the rose:Roses are in the same plant family as plums, apples, and almonds. Origin of name: The name orchid comes from a Greek word meaning testicle.
