Meanings of rose colors: In Victorian times flowers had assigned meanings, but even then there was much discrepancy. Today there are so many flowers and colors that this tradition no longer applies. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, but this is not a universal rule by any means.
Flower power:In the 60's hippies would put flowers in the rifle barrel of soldiers guns as they stood at attention. Flowers determine love: There is a system of pulling flowers apart petal by petal reciting “she loves me” and “she loves me not” to learn the truth about the sincerity of the significant other.
