Superstition and the Aster: The most popular of the 600 different species of the Aster is the Monte Carlo. People long ago thought they could drive away serpents with the odor it produced when they burned it.
Scorpion repellent:It was thought by some Ancients that they could drive away scorpions by using a strong external concoction made of Delphinium flowers. Meanings of rose colors: In Victorian times flowers had assigned meanings, but even then there was much discrepancy. Today there are so many flowers and colors that this tradition no longer applies. Red roses are traditionally associated with romantic love, but this is not a universal rule by any means.
