Planting roses: To plant roses which have been obtained from a nursery first water the rose, and then remove it from the pot. If the rose is in a paper pot cut off the bottom and remove the sidewalls so that the fine, new white feeder roots of the growing plant might be preserved.
Flowers for ink:To make blue ink some European settlers used ground Delphinium flowers. Flower snacks: Some roses have flavors which are much like that of strawberries and green apples.
