Botanical description: In botany, a flower is regarded as a modified stem with shortened internodes and bearing, at its nodes, structures that may be highly modified leaves. In essence, a flower structure forms on a modified shoot or axis with an apical meristem that does not grow continuously (growth is determinate).
Sacred flower:The flowers heads of the Calendula were used to adorn holy statues in ancient India and it is their most sacred flower. Forbidden flower: Clement of Alexandra forbade Christians to adorn themselves with roses because they were thought to be a symbol of paganism, orgy, and lust.
